Cricket Forecast — Privacy Policy

Cricket Forecast (“the app”) is provided by Apollo Production Group (“we”, “us”). This policy describes what data the app handles and why.
1. Information you provide
Location text. If you use the “Weather 4U” feature, you type a city or place name. It is stored only on your device and sent to our weather service to retrieve a forecast for that place. It is not linked to your identity and is not retained by us beyond short-lived server logs.
The app has no account system and does not ask for your name, email, phone number, or precise device location.
2. Information stored only on your device
Your favorite teams, your light/dark theme choice, your language choice, your saved “Weather 4U” location, and a saved copy of the most recent match schedule (so the app can show matches when you are offline) are stored locally using standard app storage. They are not sent to us except as described above, and are removed if you uninstall the app or clear its data.
3. Advertising (Google AdMob)
The app shows ads via Google AdMob. Google may collect and use data — including your device’s advertising identifier, IP address, general location, and app activity — to serve and personalize ads and measure their performance. This processing is performed by Google, not by us. See Google’s Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services. You can reset or limit ad personalization in your device settings (Privacy → Ads / Advertising ID).
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the app first shows a consent message from Google (a Consent Management Platform) asking whether ads may use your data for personalization. Your choice is stored on your device, and you can change it at any time with the “Ad & privacy choices” link at the bottom of the home screen.
4. Sports & weather data
Schedules and news come from public sources (ESPN); weather comes from Open-Meteo. Those requests are made by our server, not directly by your device, and contain no information about you.
5. Data sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with: (a) Google, for advertising, as described above; and (b) Cloudflare, which operates the server the app communicates with.
6. Children
The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
7. Security
On-device data is protected by your device’s app sandbox. Traffic between the app and our server is encrypted with HTTPS.
8. Your choices
Reset or opt out of ad personalization via your device’s advertising settings, or (where offered) with the “Ad & privacy choices” link in the app. Clear the app’s stored data (favorites, saved location) in your device’s app settings, or by uninstalling.
9. Changes
We may update this policy; the “Effective” date will change and material changes will be reflected here.
